Recently, I traveled to the small community of Porcupine on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to meet with the school principal regarding our upcoming "Power of the Community Health Fair." This was my first meeting with the new principal and I was greated warmly in the Lakota tradition. We discussed how the Creator blessed our country and how important it is to honor "Mother Earth."
I have worked for decades with the Native Americans and enjoy the culture-especially prayer at all gatherings and meetings. What a beautiful way to honor the Creator and one another. Towards the end of our meeting, the principal thanked me for the visit and for helping his people. He then thanked Tunkasila (God) for sending me to his school. This is another Godcident-another moment for which God created me.
Similarly, Esther, the Jewish queen of Persia assistance was sought by her adopted father Mordecai to foil the plot of Haman to destroy all the Jews. Esther's trust in God reveals God's sovereignty over his creation. God maneuvers every aspect of life to position people, governments, and situations for His plan and purpose. And Esther was faithful to obey and humbly serve no matter what it may cost.
All things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28).
