The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Today's Reading: Psalm 34:15-22
Throughout Psalm 34, King David extols the Lord by giving God thanks and praise. “I will bless the Lord at all times” (v. 2), “Glorify the Lord with me” (v. 4), and “Look to him that you may be radiant with joy” (v. 6).
I draw great strength by inviting God into my every thought and word. I am reminded of Psalm 34 to constantly give thanks and praise to God for he is good and his love is everlasting. As I draw closer to God, I feel safe in his tender arms.
As part of my daily spiritual wellness, I read Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence," She reminds me to “begin the day with open hands of Faith and that there is abundant Life in God’s presence today.”
Psalm 34 concludes with, “Many are the troubles of the just man, but out of them all the Lord delivers him.”
And so it is…
