Can anything good come from Nazareth?
John 1:46

Read John 1:43-51
Nathanael saw Jesus in a whole new light after Jesus told him he saw him under the fig tree. He made this disparaging comment about Jesus before he ever met him. But once Jesus spoke with him, he saw that Jesus already knew him and had a wonderful future in store for him. Now, Jesus was not just a man from Nazareth, but the Son of God and the King of Israel.

Like Nathanael, we too may see only the earthly reality but miss the heavenly one. Jesus wants to open our minds and give us a heavenly perspective. He wants to help us see everything in a new light, the light of his love and his purpose for all of our lives. Close your eyes and picture yourself resting under the shade of a large tree. Jesus sits down next to you and says, “Before the creation of the world, I saw you and I loved you. Now, what is on your mind?”

Help me see your face!
