There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1

Read: Romans 8:1-11

Condemnation. The words related to it are censure and blame. Merriam-Webster defined it as a statement or expression of very strong and definite criticism or disapproval. It’s a condition that someone should be punished because of wrongdoing.

There are a lot of times we feel condemned and not worthy of God's forgiveness because of our wrongdoings. This makes us feel apart from Christ. Our tendency is to feel shame in our hearts and to walk away from God. "Maybe God cannot forgive me anymore because I keep on sinning." With this wrong belief, we are easily swayed by the enemy to continue walking in the wrong direction.

Praise God for He knows us very well. He knows what we are going through and He remains faithful to us, His children. In Jesus Christ, there is now no condemnation (v. 1). God made a conclusion by saying the words "now, therefore." Because of Jesus, we can now be set free from condemnation. We can be set free from discouragement and from the condition of punishment. For those who are in right standing before God because of Jesus Christ, redemption has been put into place.

Receive this by faith today. Say a prayer to Jesus and declare in your heart that in Christ, there is no more condemnation.
