The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
Read Psalm 27
It is good to remind ourselves each day to be grateful and thankful for everything in our lives…yes, everything. Scripture reminds us to give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It gives us the courage and confidence to rise above our circumstances and surrender our worries, fears, and anxieties to Jesus Christ. There are no problems too big for our God…it gives him great joy for us to surrender to him. Believe that he knows what is best for us, and then let him in his time to make things right.
I know that worry has consumed many hours of my life—past regrets or future anxieties rob us of the joy of the present moment. Our bodies and spirit are always living in the present moment. Let us train our minds to also stay in the present moment and our fears will be replaced with Peace, Joy, and Love.
