In Our Weakness

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Survival of the fittest. The strongest will last. The weak will die.

In the world that we live in, we always tend to believe that the strong survive and the weak dies.

In this tough world, there is a need to be strong because there will always be stronger challenges. If we are weak, we will be easily defeated. We can be eaten alive. We will be left behind in the journey called life.

There are times when we find our self on the weak side. We feel too weak to face the reality of waking up and facing a bunch of insurmountable circumstances. Finances. Relationship dysfunction. Worries of the future. Losing hope. Maybe we are in the point where all we see is only our weakness. We see ourself not strong enough to overcome the challenges in our life.

The good news is God favors the weak like you and me. The bible says, while we are still weak, Christ died for the ungodly. Imagine this: God who became Man gave His life. He was God but He became a man to experience our weakness, our pain, our disappointments, our frustrations.

God at the right time sacrificed Himself so that in Him, we can be strong. In Him, we can find security. In Him, we can find significance. In Him, we can find the strength to face the world.

Why? Because He is not just a human or a good teacher. He is God who became Man to die for us, to love us, and to forgive us from our sins. He died for us even before we know it. Even before we are weak, Christ died for us.

May we take a moment to ponder on this.
