You who fear the LORD, praise Him;
All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,
And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.
Read: Psalm 22
When was the last time that you felt so “In Awe” with something?
Maybe a beautiful sunset over the beach. An awesome scenery over the top of the mountains? Colorful underground water site with fishes all over the corals?
The word “awe” means “a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder.”. It is a different kind of emotion that you can’t help but be in fear and wonder because of overwhelming amazement.
That is how the psalmist wants the Israelites to respond to God’s presence. Stand in awe. Be amazed. Be in awestruck wonder. Telling them to praise and glorify the Lord with all of their beings.
Giving worship and adoration to the LORD who all deserve the glory and praise. He alone is the only One who deserves our praise and worship.
So now my question is when was the last time you are “In Awe” of God? The One who created the Universe by His word? The One who holds the earth into His hands? The One who loves you when no one does? The One who is with you until the very end of the age?
God deserves all the glory and praise.
Unite all in love for God is love!
