Hope During Unexpected Challenges

Daily Devotion

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12
Read Romans 5:2-4

The challenges in our lives are as natural as the storms occurring on earth. We may not like it but storms are part of the process. Most of the time, challenges in our life will make our vision blurry to see what’s on the other side, our eyes see the obstacles we are going through more than the promises. We face different circumstances that crush our hopes and our dreams. God says in His Word we will be healed, but we still suffer from our illness. His Word says we will be the lender, but we still have debts. He says He will bring restoration, but everything in our life and our family still seems broken. How can we have hope during the storm?

What we declare during the storms in our life will have a great impact on how we will overcome it. Let us speak God’s promises and mix it with faith because what He starts, He finishes. What God promised will come to pass. Do we have the faith to trust that He is in control? God never runs out of the option to help us in our circumstances. Rather than being moved by what we see, let us choose to be moved by what we know about God. Let us speak life in the middle of death, victory in the middle of defeat. Declare and have faith because what we are going through is not permanent. This too shall pass!

Talk victory and you will get the victory.
