"He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me;
And to him who orders his way aright
I shall show the salvation of God."
Read: Psalm 50
Thanksgiving, honor and praise to our God sets the stage for nurturing and growing the divine exchange. When we draw near to God, he draws near to us. (James 4:8). Not only does this calm some of the “drama” in our lives, but reinforces that we can find pure peace in the presence of Jesus Christ. I challenge each of you to allow God to direct your day. How? First, ask the Holy Spirit to direct your thoughts, words, and actions.
Instead of making a long list of tasks that need accomplished, ask God to organize your day. He will direct what is important and what can wait for another day. You might say, “what if I do not hear what I am to do.” Continue to ask God for guidance and wisdom and he will guide you throughout the day. Be patient and kind to yourself. Have faith that God has your back. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster. To give you a future and a hope. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:11&13.
