What will happen next? Uncertainty of what lies ahead makes us worried. As much as possible, we want to be on top of everything; we want to be in control; we want to know what will happen next.
Paul urges us not to be anxious about anything. In the MSG version, Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
Knowing who God is, His love for us, and His will for us will transform us. Live for the Lord in whichever, wherever, and whatever circumstance we are. God is not a distant God. He is inviting us to include Him in every area of our life.
What are you grateful for today? Let your gratitude be your gateway to joy.
Worry does not help us, pray to God!
