"He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all- how will He not also, graciously give us all things?"
It is always easy to give when we have all the capacity to give. Giving something to someone makes us feel good especially when we are recognized and appreciated. How about giving everything away? Such a big question, right?
That is how the Father gave Jesus to us. He didn’t spare His own Son and gave it to us anyway to redeem His creation and to save the world. Genesis 3:14-15 says, “So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” The promise God made from the time the sin came into this world was kept and fulfilled by Him. Jesus is the promised Seed that will crush Satan's head. From the very beginning, God wanted to bless us and give us everything our hearts desire according to His good will because we are His children.
Here is the thing; If God gave His precious possession who is Jesus to the world, what could be other things that God can’t give us? What are the things you are believing God for? We may not know when God will answer our prayers and petitions. It might take longer than we want it to be. But one thing is for sure, God will provide what is best for us as we continue to wait on the Him and seek Him.
Also, we can give today because we can rest to this the fact that God will graciously give us everything more than we ask and imagine. Be generous today. Your source is a gracious God.
